The Artwork’s Story - Being out at sea gives the illusion that the sky and the sea stretch on for infinity. A single boat on the horizon adds a sense of scale and proportion, and I’ve created these surreal almost Dali-esque cloud formations to give the feeling that we are caught half between our reality and our dreamworlds. The foreboding clouds part to reveal clear skies ahead that gives us a sense of open space and clarity.

The Artwork’s Story - The ultimate celebration of this Fine City of Norwich, featuring a couple walking down the avenue of the market square on the idyllic Summer’s day. I’ve included the two lion sculptures that sit either side of the city hall and the cathedral spire is shown in the distance as well as including a yellow building with the lettering ‘Colmans Mustard’ being a fine export of Norwich’s past. The more you look at this piece the more you see, and the couple are wonderfully framed in the painting as they embark on their journey.
