Elements of Dreamscape and reality combine here in this atmospheric painting. It tells the story of that delicate balance we have to tread in life between striving for more, and learning when to accept our current state of affairs. It’s not about greed, it’s about having wild ambitions and soaring work ethic in a world where the sky really is the limit. Therefore as humans we need to master the mindset of learning to just sit in what we have - it very much come from Buddhist teachings - to remind ourselves at any o given moment - that this is all we have, and reassuring ourselves that it is enough, that we are enough. I find this a very important teaching personally, because todays modern world always favours ‘more’.

‘If we keep wanting more - we try tirelessly to fill ourselves up, but it’s like trying to fill a leaking bucket, it’s a hopeless quest. Because when we come from a mindset of wanting, we come from a standpoint of inner lacking. ‘Wanting is a form of lacking something, therefore in wanting, we end up dripping ourselves away’. I have paraphrased this from a book called ‘notes on a nervous planet, from author Matt Haig. This book helped me a lot.
