‘Rise up and discover the possibilities in an endless sky.’
There’s something inspiring about seeing a hot air balloon floating effortlessly across the sky. And when there is a group of balloons, it’s even more captivating.
Moments like this are rare and fleeting, therefore I had to capture its magnificence. It’s not often we see a flotilla of balloons like this, there will be 50 balloons floating across London’s skyline on 5th June 2022 to mark the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
In this particular painting we see hot air balloons rise up in unison surrounding the castle in splendour. Intricate patterns and details adorn the hot air balloons whilst I have deliberately cast the surrounding landscape into grey and shadow to illuminate the awe and beauty of this moment.

Brighton, known as London-on-sea, where the buzz and hedonism of the big city meets the freedom of the coast. After living in this vibrant city I wanted to paint it in my own unique style to celebrate the magic and vibrancy of the place. Hints of Art Deco and pop art elements combine in this unique contemporary yet timeless vision of Brighton pier.

The Artwork’s Story - The ultimate celebration of this Fine City of Norwich, featuring a couple walking down the avenue of the market square on the idyllic Summer’s day. I’ve included the two lion sculptures that sit either side of the city hall and the cathedral spire is shown in the distance as well as including a yellow building with the lettering ‘Colmans Mustard’ being a fine export of Norwich’s past. The more you look at this piece the more you see, and the couple are wonderfully framed in the painting as they embark on their journey.
